About Grab & Go
The Rutherford Public Library is continuing to offer its Grab & Go service. The building is now open to the public, but residents can still pick up books, media, museum passes, and mobile wi-fi hotspots just outside of the Library. This service is for Rutherford residents only. Out-of-town residents should check with their hometown library for similar services.

Here’s how it works:
- Tell us what you want. You can complete one of these forms: Adult Collection or Children’s Collection; call us at the Library at 201-939-8600 during Grab & Go hours; or, make requests for specific items through the catalog. If you are reserving a hotspot, click here to do so. If you use the catalog or reserve a hotspot, please complete this form to choose a pick-up day or we’ll reach out to you.
- Pick up at the front door. When you arrive at the Library, your items will already be checked out to you and in a bag with your name on it. If you are picking up a hotspot, please come to the door and indicate that to a team member so you can have it brought to you.
- Return items to the book drop or inside the library. For a truly contactless experience, the library’s book drop is open 24/7. Please note that museum passes must be returned inside. Inside returns are accepted any time the library is open.
