The Friends of the Library of Rutherford has provided key funding for a range of programs and services for over 50 years. The Friends currently fund many of the library’s children’s programs, museum passes, and film screenings. When you become a donor, you help the library enrich our lives and strengthen our community. The Friends is a 501(c)3 organization, making donations tax-deductible. Click here for a donation form. If you are interested in joining the Friends, please send us an email. Meetings take place the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm.

Friends of the Library Activities

Monthly Film Screenings
The Friends sponsor a monthly film screening that takes place the last Tuesday of each month at 6pm in the library.
This month’s screening will take place on February 28 as we show The Soloist (rated PG-13). Light refreshments are provided. For a full listing of upcoming screenings, view our calendar.

Saturday Movie Matinee
The Friends will host a special Saturday afternoon movie matinee on February 18 at 1pm, featuring Till (rated PG-13). Light refreshments will be served, and no registration is necessary.

Library Mini Golf
Join the Friends of the Rutherford Library for a not-to-be-missed event – Library Mini Golf fundraiser! Tee-off for a special 18-hole mini-golf course set up inside the Rutherford Library on March 3-4, 2023. Friday, March 3rd will be adults-only night, $25 per person including drinks and snacks. Saturday, March 4th will be an all-ages family day, $3 per person or $10 per family. All proceeds will go to support our library’s programs. Tickets are on sale now.
